Week 18 Day 6 Age is not a factor in starting a successful new business.

No change in my cash on hand earnings, but value can show be found in many things besides cash.

65 plus year old people are not ready to be put out to pasture or be sent to talk to someone about “the end of life”.Within the next few weeks I will start a blog for people over the age of 65. There is an opportunity for us to shine, but our voices must be heard. If you are 30 years old, 65 seems like an eternity away.

I define retirement as the time in life when you can afford to follow your dreams and acheive new hights in life. Our life is like a tree, once we stop growing we start dying.

if you are over 65 and still need to work, your options are a lot more than “rolling out grocery carts”, or greeting shoppers. Don’ t buy  into the media stories about how no one will hire an older person. As older persons we should be starting our new businesses and hire older workers. We knew we can get a more reliable and intelligent worker.

This topic is near and dear to my heart as I see our older citizens struggling to find employment. In many cases they have lost their self confidence. I recently bough a small business opportunties magazine. The average age of the people pictured in the adds looked under 30.

I am going to follow up on this topic and hope that you will join me and tell your friends to contact me so I can add them to my new blog.

If you have built castles in the air, your work need not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them.

Have a great day!
