“Truly, “thoughts are things,” and powerful things at that, when they are mixed with definiteness of purpose, persistence, and a burning desire for their translation into riches, or other material objects.”
This is the first paragraph in the first chapter of one of the greatest books ever written: Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill. I bought and read this book in 1964 and finally, some 46 years latter and after having read many success books which used this book as a reference, I am getting the message. What you think, speak and how you act defines who you are and what you will accomplish.
My challenge to you is to take the next 30 days and be positive in everything you do. Walk away from negative comments, don’t associate with people that only talk about doom and gloom. Tell them you know that there is a “recession, but you are not participating in it.
Fight off your own negative thoughts. At work and at home, be positive and speak in positive terms. If you have to, make lemonade out of the lemons in your life. Keep a 3×5 card in your pocket and make a line for every negative thought or action. Look at the card every night before bed and resolve to do better tomorrow.
My second challenge is for you to dig up your old copy of Think and Grow Rich, or buy yourself a copy and read it over the next 30 days.
This is a great way to build a foundation for a new way of life. Do you have the G.U.T.S. ( see yesterdays blog) to do this???
let me know how you feel at the end of 30 days.
“Thinking is the hardest work there is, which is the probable reason why so few engage in it.”
Have a great day!
