It can’t be because it has worked for someone else; your business has to be something that you can take ownership of through your heart. How many people do you know that are working at something that they don’t like? This can happen when you work for someone else, or when you own your own business.
In my experience, those that complain, are not the most successful. They seem to be caught in a downward spiral of self pity and constant inner conflict. It takes a toll on their families, their health, and their chance at a happy life. If and when they have to retire, they will live the remainder of their life looking backwards, at the “what ifs” instead of reaping the harvest of their work.
Perhaps our senses are so dulled that if asked, “what would you like to do if you had no barriers”, we would be unable to come up with an answer. Now is the time to re-discover your inner “heart” and find your true passion. Like any other journey, it may take time to come up with the right answer. A way of doing research is to take a new spiral notebook and devote 15 minutes a day to journal your answer to that question. Even if you don’t have any thoughts, write whatever comes to your mind; the secret to the process is the consistency.
Start this process today; I don’t buy the “no time” excuse. If you can’t find those 15 minutes a day then you have much deeper troubles.
Procrastination is the art of keeping up with yesturday.
Have a great day!
