I created a new “business day”; I call it “Do Good Unto Others Day”. Take a full day and work only on helping others with their business.
Take your client list or your business associates list and call each of them and say the following:
” I am participating in, what I hope will become, a nation wide endeavor; we hope to establish a “Do good unto Others Day”. The purpose of my call today is to see if there is any way I can help you with your business.”
After they answer you write down their request for help and then ask them to support this new “day” by calling others with the same message.
Don’t get too excited, if you can reach 15 to 20 people with this message you are doing good.When you offer people help and they accept your request, you have to follow through and provide the requested help. Check each name as you fulfill the request and send them a written note with your action. thank them for participating in this “new day.”
Have a “Do Good Unto Others Day” at least once a quarter. It will not only make you feel good, but others will appreciate the effort and perhaps, without you asking for help, someone will turn around and help you.
Help others get ahead. You will always stand taller with someone else on your shoulders.
