Business is slow, not much going on; you have two choices, sit and worry or try to make something happen. Many small business owners, will advertise, or blog or use social media to try and find a client. They will do anything except go out and talk to someone they don’t know.
Small challenge for today; if your business is slow and you have spare time, make a cold call on a small business ( pick any kind of business) . Introduce yourself as a small business owner and tell them that you would like to share stories and see how they are growing their business. Suggest that together you might learn from one anther and both will benefit.
If they don’t want to talk to you, call on another business. Business owners that don’t want to talk to you will more than likely be out of business in the near future.
Do this at least once a week for three months. You will meet a lot of nice people, and perhaps some not so nice, but the nice ones will become friends and part of your business support group.
