Reviewing your marketing program is something every small business must do at least every four to six months.
To insure that you are on the right track, a good place to start is with a clean slate. (This is also a reality check to make sure you are still serving the needs of your clients; remember, change is the only constant in business.)
The first step is to answer the following questions:
- Who are you?
- What are your strengths?
Keeping your answers in mind, answer these next two questions:
- Who are your target markets?
- What do they want?
These four answers will help you decide the best way to reach your clients. Consider the following four marketing options:
- referral marketing
- sphere of influence marketing
- niche marketing
- geographic marketing
Each of these four options represent a different marketing process. By selecting the one that best fits your vision, you can now channel all your efforts in a single, more powerful process.
While these is a simple look at the development process for a marketing process, it is one of the best ways to focus your efforts.
The lights in your business always shine brighter when you share the spotlight with others in your network!
Have a great day!
