“We must accept responsibility for a problem before we can solve it. We cannot solve a problem by saying, it’s not my problem”. We cannot solve a problem by hoping that someone else will solve it for us. I can solve a problem only when I say, “This is my problem and it’s up to me to solve it.”
Too many small business owners say that their problems were caused by other people and it’s up to other people or society to solve this problem for them.
Whatever business you are in; whatever troubles you are having, they are your problems. Problems may be caused by an outside factor, such as the economy, competition, or numerous other factors that affect every small business owner. Unless you take ownership of the problem and find a way to cure it, your growth action freezes up and all progress stops.
Once responsibility is accepted, you can press forward. Analyze the problem and do some out of the box thinking to solve the problem. The solution may be to take a different direction. Change course by changing yourself, your products and or services.
You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You are able to say to yourself, “I lived through this horror. I can take the next thing that comes along.” You must do the thing you think you cannot do.
