These past few years have created a culture of defeat or hopelessness in many small business owners. Today the news media still tells a terrible story about the economy and the world situation. This causes some small businesses to  just hold tight and  wait for the “good times” to come back.

It is necessary to spend a lot of time looking into the core of a company regardless of their current position in their industry, before forward steps can be taken.

A positive attitude and a belief system that stresses the “yes I can” has to be re-installed and nurtured.

The required, both mental and physical, “turnaround” needs a commitment to a change of “lifestyle” not only in the business environment but sometimes in the family environment. Change is difficult and in a small business the family is a critical component necessary to succeed in this endeavor.

In these critical business situations a small business owner has to reach out for support, direction and  firm accountability.

2013 is going to be the kind of year you envision if you break down your steps into achievable pieces and believe  in the possibilities.
