Power in a positive mindset….

All my blogs along with seminars, books and other business instructions will not help you achieve profitability unless you have the right mindset. In his book, Think and Grow Rich, Napoleon Hill wrote: Whatever The Mind of Man can conceive and believe it can achieve At a meeting I heard a speaker say, “Your thoughts and beliefs and actions got you to where you are today,   so are you happy? If not, you need to make a change”. The question that has to be answered is how to make … [Read more...]

A caring staff is critical to good customer service…

Prestige cleaners is one of the best dry cleaning establishments in the greater Phoenix area. Their president is a friend of mine and at breakfast this morning she shared her experience when a major power transformer went down in the early morning hours. All their locations offer an “in by 10 am and done by 4 pm” same day service, every day. What impressed me today was the team effort that all the employees at the affected location displayed. Every Day is a new beginning…………..

The following is something that I try to remember every day. New Years’ resolutions are often broken, and we spend the rest of the year lamenting our inability to keep on track. Businesses don’t have to fail if they can receive immediately applicable and affordable support in all areas of growing a business. There is an element of trust that is lacking on the part of many small business owners. In many cases their life experiences, when reaching out for support, results in a “sales pitch” for … [Read more...]

Structured Networking is coming of age…………….

Spending an hour with the right person is, in my opinion, worth more than participating in 10 visits (perhaps more) to an open forum networking session. There are two types of networking groups that I recommend. One is a membership organization which has structured meetings. There may be some sharing as to what type of business you are in and perhaps some talk about helping the community. The real value comes from the ability to call a member and request a one- on-one meeting, and that … [Read more...]
